MaxiCycles store development project includes the development of a website that will allow customers to buy desired products, set a delivery day for their purchase, and get informed about the latest products available. The project includes an integrated management stock system, allowing the automatic update of stock availability on the webpage, and newsletter blog with the latest information on extreme sports and the latest product.
Upon reviewing the project’s requirements, I have initiated the construction of the database and set up of product categories. The building of the site began with the creation of the home page. The design incorporated several elements such as navigation, a subscription option, key product categories, and a showcase of best-selling products. To emphasize the best-selling items, I developed a function that tracks the rate at which products are depleting. This allowed me to assign a “most popular product” category to the fastest-selling items.
The project included the development of the cart and the option to add and remove products and add a discount code. An important step in the implementation was the ability to add debit cards and pay with them. The interesting thing there was that I encoded the card number and the bank code and when the customer entered the CVV2 code I encoded it and compared the two encoded codes.
